Just 10 minutes drive outside of Kandy's City Centre lies Sweet Cinnamon, an old colonial bungalow, now fully refurbished, offering a relaxing base from which to explore one of Sri Lanka's cultural hubs. Complete with hardwood floors and antique furniture, rooms are fitted with airconditioning - balancing authenticity and comfort.
The bungalow acts as an excellent option for those wishing to visit Kandy, with its famous Temple of the Tooth, colonial shop fronts, and idyllic botanical gardens.
The property is home to an abundance of birdlife, lovely gardens and delicious food. With only five rooms, it makes for a private and intimate stay but is perhaps not for those wanting to be in the city centre with the buzz of people on their doorstep.
Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
