Nestled within unspoilt surroundings just two kilometres from Jaffna town, The Thinnai provides warm hospitality and a range of suites. Its design resembles the unique ‘Thinnai’ homes in the region, and rooms are set on the ground and first storeys centred around the lovely gardens.
Facilities include a decent sized swimming pool to relax by and a small gym. They have their own organic farm about 15 minutes away, which you can visit to see how they grow vegetables, fruits and herbs. There are several dining options within the property where you can enjoy dishes using this fresh produce in cuisine from the surrounding northern region and India.
Suites are well appointed, with a variety of categories in one or two bedrooms. The two bedroom suites are great for families and groups, which can fit up to 6 people and have great living areas and even a small kitchen.
The Thinnai is one of the best accommodation options in the Jaffna area with its spacious variety of room options, great service and location. Note that they do not serve alcohol, however, you can buy your own drinks and staff will store them for you.
