An ideal stop on the way to or arriving from Colombo International Airport, Villa Green is an old colonial villa complete with swimming pool and lush tropical gardens.
The veranda is the perfect place for a sundowner, and the hotel offers bikes for those wanting to explore nearby paddy fields. This is a good base from which to explore the Dutch Hamilton Canal linking the Kelani River and Negombo lagoon - built in 1804, this is an intriguing insight into a bygone time. Negombo City is just a short drive away and features a bustling fresh fish market. Sri Lanka’s Capital, Colombo is around a 30-minute drive away and is easily reachable - from here, you can explore the historic Old Town and iconic temples.
