Info : Waterfalls Homestay
The Waterfalls Homestay is a simple, comfortable and charming guest house with spectacular mountain views on the outskirts of Ella.
With just three bedrooms, the guest house is welcoming and cosy. Split on two levels, the building design is somewhat quirky and decorated in a very colourful style throughout. The bedrooms vary in size and are all fitted with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The main living room also features an open plan kitchen where the staff cook up many a hearty feast.
Outside there is a charming veranda furnished with benches, chairs, tables and hammocks and which faces the rocks and waterfall opposite. The views from here are quite memorable and it is a great spot to while away hours with a book.
The local area is superb for walking and the staff will be happy to point out a number of trails to nearby waterfalls and peaks. Ella itself also has a number of good cafes and restaurants and has established itself as the backpacker capital in the hills. The Waterfalls Homestay has some beautiful pets, including a dogs and cats.
The house is equipped with wifi internet, satellite television and ayurvedic massage can be arranged on-site. The Waterfalls Homestay is located a short drive from Ella town, with most guests using tuk-tuks to get to town and back. If you are arriving by train the staff will collect you from the station in their tuk-tuk.
The Waterfalls Homestay is quirky and homely and recommended for those seeking an unorthodox place to stay in Ella. Clean throughout and tended by friendly and easy-going staff, it is easy to see why so many people fall in love with this place and its location.
