Wildgrass, Sigiriya Sri Lanka, Cultural Triangle
The ‘Cultural Triangle’ region of Sri Lanka, close to Sigiriya, is home to the hidden treasure that is Wildgrass. Nine private villas line the property, a sophisticated and stylish resort with a modern, natural feel. Each villa is unique, and the comfort level is very high. All villas contain a spacious living room, bedroom, private terrace, and all facilities. Wood, glass, and natural colours blend with the stunning natural surroundings, which encircle each villa in forest plumage. Hidden in 20 acres of ancient jungle, the Wildgrass resort is surrounded by a panorama of majestic hills.
The owners have thoughtfully designed the resort to harmonize with the natural beauty and unspoiled ecosystems of the region. As a result, creatures great and small roam freely. Elephants, rabbits, deer, wild boar, peacocks, and over 40 exotic bird species peacefully inhabit the region.
Dine privately in your villa, or sit in the stylish restaurant and be attended to by the friendly staff. The sustainability and care for the environment is what makes Wildgrass a unique holiday experience, and a fresh alternative to mainstream hotel stays. Highly recommended.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
Wildgrass: A nice surprise. Beautiful, efficient villas. BBC and CNN worked and the best food and presentation of such served in our little villa. Because it is in a very remote location it had limited service and activities. Nature is their highlight.
Wild Grass was outstanding and the service from the staff could not have been better. We really appreciated our dinner under the stars on our last night.

Experience Travel were excellent from the start in advising us on a tour that would suit us based on their detailed local knowledge. This meant we stayed in interesting places sometimes off the beaten track but always to a high standard.
