Chiang Mai by Bike, Chiang Mai Thailand, North and East
This 25km cycle lets you explore ancient temples and Buddhist history. Among the fascinating relics of the past, you will see the 13th Century ancient city of Wiang Khum Kham, plenty of beautiful colonial style structures, and traditional Thai houses made of teak. Greet the local fishermen, sample some ripe seasonal fruit from the orchards, and enjoy the shade under century-old trees.
Wiam Khum Kham, a breath-taking 13th century city, has recently been excavated, and awaits your exploration of ruined chedis, and a very special temple that is said to house the spirit of a former Thai king. Thae Pa Gate welcomes you back into ancient Chiang Mai, where you can sample wares at the fresh produce markets and interact with local residents. This tour is a great choice for families and riders of all ages.
Really enjoyed the food tour. It took us to a part of Bangkok that we would never have visited. We visited 5 restaurants, some of which you would probably dismiss out of hand and carry on walking past from their appearance. They were also very clued up on local knowledge so it was a much a cultural tour as food tour.
