This 4 day riding experience shows off the very best of northern Thailand’s natural beauty, with limestone caves, cascading waterfalls, rivers, picturesque country roads, and ancient temples. Beginning at the Bua Thong waterfall, the bike tour takes you through forests teeming with wildlife, over trails frequented by elephants, under the Chiang Dao caves, and along the scenic banks of the Mae Kok river. Enjoy temple retreats, elephant rides, and tasty local cuisine along the way to Chiang Rai.
Tour Profile: A relaxed 130km ride through northern Thailand’s small country back roads, this trip includes 4 full cycling days, averaging 30-35km per day, and places an emphasis on enjoying the stunning Thai surroundings.
Suitability: The terrain is lightly undulating with a few small hills, but no major inclines. Anyone with some off-road biking experience will enjoy this trip.
Trail Conditions: Dirt trails are reasonably wide and hard-packed, and other roads feature good quality smooth tarmac. These conditions make for an easy cycle, with a support vehicle available at all times, should you need a break.
