The “East Coast Island Explorer” is a relaxed journey combining some of the best Thailand islands with the obligatory tour of buzzing Bangkok. This is essentially a beach lover’s itinerary; a relaxing holiday visiting the diverse Thailand islands of Koh Samui and Koh Tao in the South China Sea. The Thailand islands on this coast benefit from a dry season that extends into the British summer so if you are restricted to travel at this time of year then this itinerary is a great option.
This holiday starts in Bangkok, a hectic vibrant city, easy to explore, great for shopping and home to some fascinating temples, palaces and the Chao Phraya River. Staying centrally, and with the inclusion of a local personal guide, you can get right to the heart of what interests you in this city in a short space of time. A short flight from Bangkok takes you to the island of Koh Samui; here you’ll stay in the less developed northern part of the island in a great boutique hotel called Zazen. The location is perfect as it's right on the beach, quiet enough to relax but within a short stroll of some excellent local restaurants serving tasty Thai specialities. The hotel itself has a great restaurant too. Next you’ll continue to explore Thialand islands as you take a boat journey over to discover the much smaller Koh Tao; one of the least developed of the Thailand islands. This is a great place to escape to and with excellent marine life close to the shore Koh Tao has built up a reputation as one of Thailand’s best spots for snorkelling and diving.
At the end of the trip you’ll take a boat back to Koh Samui from where you will fly home.
Koh Phangan is in the same national marine park as Koh Tao and also offers an idyllic island experience. If you would like to add Koh Phangan to the itinerary (or substitute another for Koh Phangan) then please ask us for more details. Koh Phangan made the Full Moon Party famous we can tailor a trip to coincide with a Full Moon Party, or as is more likely the case, we can tailor a trip to avoid one!
