Day-to-Day Itinerary : Thailand Family Experience

Day 1  depart the uk

Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Bangkok

Day 2  Bangkok arrival

On arrival in Bangkok you will be welcomed to Thailand by your local guide and transferred to your hotel in a chauffeur driven car. Your first evening will be free to enjoy your hotel, have a swim or explore the local area.

Days 3 & 4 bangkok

Two days will be spent exploring Bangkok with your expert guide, enjoying the main sights and the less explored using a range of fun modes of transport such as long tail boat, skytrain and tuk tuk. There is even the chance to join a guided cycle tour if you're feeling active.

Your guide has a wealth of local knowledge so will help you discover the food, markets, temples and customs that make this country so special. There is flexibility built into the experience, so you can enjoy pool time, free-time (perhaps a visit to the spa whilst the children are swimming?!) as and when it suits.

Day 5, 6 & 7 kanchanaburi adventure

A two hour drive from Bangkok will take you to Kanchanaburi where you'll begin your 3 day cycle tour through the beautiful Thai countryside, the tour will be tailored to your interests. You'll be supported by a driver and vehicle, so it's entirely up to each of  you as to how much time you spend on your bike and at what pace you travel. During your tailored tour you'll have the option to explore caves, villages, waterfalls, hot springs and lakes or some poignant World War II sights such as "The Bridge Over The River Kwai".

Beyond cycling, numerous other fun adventures are included such as canoeing and the chance to zip-line through the treetops (the choice is yours).

The accommodation is part of the experience here too and includes a stay at Hintok River Camp in a luxury safari tent and at The Floathouse where you'll stay in a floating villa.

Day 8, 9 & 10 chiang mai

After departing The Floathouse you'll head back to Bangkok airport for your onward flight to Chiang Mai where you'll stay for 3 nights. One of the highlights here will be a day spent interacting with elephants.

Whilst in Chiang Mai you'll also have an expert guide for a day who will show you the city from a perspective tailored to you. Whether you want to explore the nooks and crannies of the cities glittering temples, find the best places to slurp noodle soup or find the most quirky local market and haggle for a bargain, your guide will show you how.

Day 11 - 15 koh yao noi

A quick flight will take you from Chiang Mai to Phuket where you'll take the short boat journey across to Koh Yao Noi. Here you can enjoy the beautiful marine landscape for which Thailand is famous but without the crowds that you might find elsewhere.  The whole family can spend lazy days snorkelling or swimming in crystal clear waters or splashing in the pool (adults will relish the chance to read in a hammock or enjoy the spa). Whilst staying here you also have the option to learn how to cook local dishes or try out Thai boxing and if you've still got plenty of energy then you could explore the island by mountain bike or even try out the rock climbing for which the island is famous.

Customer Feedback
We arrived back in the UK at 7.00 this morning and I couldn’t wait to thank you for organising such a fabulous holiday for us! Everything went so smoothly and we were really impressed with the quality and style of the hotels you chose for us, the convenient locations, and the local services - absolutely First Class! We had some wonderful food, did some great activities and we particularly enjoyed the Elephant Day which was something we shall remember for the rest of our lives. Also we really enjoyed the trip to the River Kwai and the amazing River Kwai Resotel. I shall certainly recommend your company to anyone who is considering a holiday in South East Asia – thank you again!
