JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa, Khao Lak Thailand, West Coast and Islands
Located in the Phang Nga province of Thailand, just an hour north of the hustle and bustle of Phuket, lies the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa. Guests are surrounded by a 3km pool and Thai-inspired gardens, all while having access to the resort’s private stretch of pristine beach to swim, play and soak up the warm Thai sun.
You won’t be short on activities and experiences both at the resort and nearby. Visit the Quan Spa for some relaxation and rejuvenation, or swim your way around the resort and up to the infinity pool bar. Children can play in the kids club, while other facilities include a gym, tennis courts, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding in the ocean. You’re also spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with buffet breakfasts, beach bars and restaurants for lunch, and a choice between 5 high-quality dining options at night. If you’re looking to explore the surrounding area, cycle to the nearby waterfalls or take a day trip to the Similan Islands for some snorkelling and island exploration.
The JW Marriott offers an array of rooms and villas, all facing out onto the pool and gardens. Spacious and comfortable with a luxurious twist and Thai-inspired design, rooms are equipped with opulent bedding, large marble bathrooms and sufficient amenities. Some have direct pool access, however and, if you would prefer a more private balcony with a view over the resort, we recommend opting for the Lagoon Pool View rooms.
We love that the JW Marriott offers guests a stay complete with excellent service, luxury, relaxation and plenty of options when it comes to activities and dining.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.

Why not give us a call
I started doing a search on the net for specialists and came across Experience Travel Group. I liked a lot what I saw on their website so started an online dialogue with one of their operators. She quickly realised what we are looking for and got one of her colleges who was a specialist in this area. A chap called David Gookey called me back to chat about what we wanted. We gave David a brief for our budget and the type of things that we wanted to do and he did the rest. All I can say is he put together the perfect holiday, sorted out the best tours and some incredible hotels. All guides, flights, transport and transfers taken care of. If you're reading this David thank you once again.
