Info : Ramada Resort
The Ramada is a well-designed hotel with good facilities in Khao Lak. Its minimalist Japanese style and use of white and neutral colours set amongst rolling green lawns create a sense of calm, and its efficient staff and well-equipped rooms will cater to all your needs.
The Deluxe Oasis and Deluxe Lanai Rooms in the hotels main building offer guests spacious rooms and large bathtubs with rainfall showers, with large balconies where guests can sit and soak up the sun. For couples seeking something a little more romantic, the Deluxe Jacuzzi Rooms offer open plan bathrooms and with central Jacuzzi tubs. However, the pick of the rooms are definitely the hotels Ocean and Pool Villas, both of which have terraces leading to the beach. The Ocean Villas have a Jacuzzi bathtub while the Pool Villas are similar but have their own private pool.
The hotels central lawn has a large free-form swimming pool and a kids pool overlooking the sea, and the hotel has access to a nice stretch of beach. The hotel is also nearby local shops and amenities in Khao Lak. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday behind the shops at the top of the road there is a small local market selling snacks, souvenirs, clothes and fruit shakes and makes for a pleasant evening excursion.
The Ramada Khao Lak offers great service and is a hotel suitable for everyone.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
Really enjoyed the food tour. It took us to a part of Bangkok that we would never have visited. We visited 5 restaurants, some of which you would probably dismiss out of hand and carry on walking past from their appearance. They were also very clued up on local knowledge so it was a much a cultural tour as food tour.
