Sala Rattanakosin is a stylish, modern boutique hotel opposite Wat Arun, close to the main sites of Bangkok. It's a very trendy place from which to explore.
Right on the Chao Phraya River lies Sala Rattanakosin, one of the various boutique luxury hotels of Sala Resorts. With stunning views over Wat Arun and Wat Pho structures, the rooftop bar is one of the most inspiring in the whole of Bangkok. Rooms are stylish and modern, a little dark perhaps so not so suitable for those with eyesight problems. It's down a little side street off the larger Maha Rat Road and truly feels like a hidden gem.
The restaurant is fabulous, boasting the most beautiful view of the river and Wat Arun temple. It also has an outside terrace with a fantastic secluded atmosphere. With delicious food on offer, a mixture of Thai and western-style dishes, you'll be spoilt for choice.
All in all, Sala Rattanakosin makes for a very stylish stay and suits those looking for somewhere quite modern and edgy. For others, it may make sense to pay a visit for cocktails and dinner only.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
