The Vijit, Phuket

The Vijitt Resort is located on the quiet southern tip of Phuket at Rawai, away from the crowds of Patong and this is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Thailand in comfortable surroundings. As villas go in Phuket these are good value for money, they are roomy and stylish with tasteful décor, spacious bathrooms and outdoor terraces/balconies paired with modern touches like rain showers and flat screen TV’s. Some villa's also feature a private pool.

The centerpiece of the resort is a beautiful infinity pool next to the beach overlooking the bay; particular attention has been made to the style and location of the pool as the sea itself is not always suitable for swimming due to a low tide. For guests who would prefer to enjoy the sea throughout the day, the Vijitt have a beach club on Coral Island which is 15 minutes by boat across the bay, a great spot to snorkel, swim and sunbathe. A shuttle is also provided to other busier beach locations on the island. Back at The Vijitt, the low tide provides the option of excellent marine walk’s along the shore exploring the coral and marine life without getting too wet!

As one would expect at a hotel of this standard, there is an excellent spa with a selection of luxurious treatments available. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from in the resort serving a range of cuisine including traditional Thai and Mediterranean, nearby Rawai (a fishing village) provides further choice with a number of local restaurants. The Vijitt is a good option for families as additional facilities include an impressive Kids Club with fun and educational activities, a kid’s pool and a movie room. The Prime Pool Villas and Two Bedroom Villas can comfortably accommodate most families.   

In summary this resort is great value for money compared to other villa resorts on Phuket, the tradeoff is that the immediate beach is tidal. It really doesn’t seem to bother most guests as the pool area is so inviting and there are plenty of other beaches nearby.
