A sumptuous Thai island retreat, the Treasure Resort is located on Koh Madsum off the south eastern tip of Koh Samui. Privacy is key here, with isolated beaches, plenty of space and well-laid out villas that make you feel as if you really are on your own desert island.
All the villas are nicely decorated with plenty of space and natural light, with excellent amenities and stylish design features. Private terraces or balconies come as standard, and the higher category rooms offer beachfront locations and private swimming pools. The main central swimming pool is a nice place to relax with a drink, as is the Chill Lounge or the beachfront restaurant. The island itself is quite small and as such it is very easy to walk from one side to the other, meaning the resort has two beautiful beaches on offer, both with soft white sand, bright blue water and great snorkelling options with swathes of coral. There is also a small spa offering a good range of treatments.
Island hopping and snorkelling are popular here and the busier island of Koh Samui is only 15 minutes away. However, those that are happy to stay on Koh Madsum will be rewarded with a peaceful and relaxing stay on one of Thailand’s last unspoiled islands.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
