Day 1: Fly to Sri Lanka

Depart the UK for Colombo.

Day 2: Horathapola Coconut Estate

On arrive in Colombo meet your chauffeur-guide and transfer to Horathapola Coconut Estate to relax and recover from the journey.

Day 3: Wilpattu National Park

Depart this morning for the two-hour drive to Sri Lanka’s largest national park, Wilpattu. Leopard Safari’s offer an amazing wildlife immersion experience is staying right in the heart of the park. The park is so large that comfortable camping within the park is the best way to see wildlife by far.

Day 4: Wilpattu National Park

Waking up in Wilpattu is a magical experience – enjoy another two safari drives this morning and a relaxing day in between.

Day 5 - 7: Habarana - The Cultural Triangle

After the last safari drive, you will be taken to the entrance to the park where you will be reunited with your driver. Depart for your hotel in Habarana – the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. The family will appreciate the chance to relax by your private pool in the late afternoon.

Over the next couple of days, you’ll be able to explore the sites of the triangle – as much or as little as you wish. We have emphasised sites which your children can explore – rather than be passively guided around. We also include a visit to the elephant conservation project here to see elephants up close.

Day 7: Hatton – The Tea Country.

A fantastic adventure today – when your seaplane arrives to fly you to Tea Trails. Your vehicle will transfer your luggage by road, so for those uncomfortable with flying, a road transfer is an alternative.

The amazing scenery underneath is something exceptional.

Day 8 & 9: HATTON – THE TEA COUNTRY.

 Walking, biking even white water rafting; there is plenty to do up here in the beautiful tea covered mountains. The climate is excellent too – a welcome break from the heat of the plains below. You might wish to do the famous tea tour here also – and the service and food are superb.

Day 10 – 15: Maldives

Transfer to Colombo Airport today and your short flight to Male. On arrival in Male, you will be met and taken to your onwards flight to Gan and the Shangri-La, your base for the next 6 days.

The resort has a huge amount of space and very safe swimming and snorkelling in the lagoon. A superb option for all the family to relax and rejuvenate.
