Kurumba , North Male Atoll The Maldives, Central Islands
Kurumba is one of the closest islands to Male, and is thus a quick and easy boat ride away. This island is popular with families thanks to its large and diverse choice of dining experiences, its wide range of accommodation options for every budget, its close proximity to both Male and other island destinations, and its fantastic house reef for snorkelling and diving.
Rooms run from a basic 50 square metre Deluxe Room with air conditioning, Queen beds and tasteful modern furnishings right through to a grand residence, and everything in between. If a private body of water is a priority, go for a Beach Villa with Jacuzzi or a Pool Villa - they’re roomy, bright and elegantly furnished. All rooms, villas and residences have airconditioning, fans, private outdoor sitting areas and beautiful modern bathrooms with tubs.
There are eight restaurants, three bars, and plenty of other dining experiences on offer. Choose from Middle Eastern, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and Maldivian specialties, as well as an international buffet and casual cafe dining. Meal plans can be integrated into your booking: call us to chat through the options. Unlike other, more remote destinations, it doesn’t get boring when the sun goes down here: there are several bars for partying well into the evening.
This resort can be as lively and active or as relaxed as you like. The close proximity to the airport and Male means that you won’t get the Robinson Crusoe effect of landing on a completely secluded island- you’ll see plenty of planes and boats go by. If you see this as a plus, you’re sure to enjoy your time here, especially if you’re bringing the whole family.
Superior - This is what we would describe as our standard category. These will be decent 3/4* hotels providing a really good level of service. We would generally expect them to be providing a little something extra, in terms of character, guest experience or facilities too.
