Most people want to explore Hanoi’s atmospheric Old Quarter, but walking around the area with young children can be stressful as you negotiate the open cooking stoves on the pavements and the chaotic traffic. Avoid the stress by taking a ride on one of the electric buses.
Around 6.00pm you will be collected from your hotel and escorted by your private guide to Dong Xuan market where you will take an electric bus and driver for two hours around Hanoi with some stops en route, depending on your interest. Some of recommended stops are the Hanoi Old Quarter, through some of the best-known streets such as Hang Buom, Hang Bac, Ma May and around Hoan Kiem lake.
After the bus ride, stroll through some of the quieter parts of the Old Quarter that mainly sell toys and lanterns, before stopping at a local shop for Trang Tien’s famous ice cream – Kem Cam. Finally stop at a local shop in the Old Quarter where traditional musical instruments are sold. If interested you can even try playing the instruments before heading back to your hotel.
