Tra Que Herb Village cycling, Hoi An
Vietnam, Central Coast and Highlands

Info : Tra Que Herb Village cycling

This 3-4 hour bike trip will bring you to the charming little village of Tra Que, located just a few kilometers from Northeast Hoi An. This village is named after the sweet scented vegetables that spice up the everyday meals of the Hoi An people. Here, there is a new spirit and enthusiasm for traditional Hoi An dishes like Cao Lau (noodles, pork and greens) and Quang noodle (rice noodles with turmeric in a strong broth).
Upon arrival at the village, you will be welcomed with a special drink made from some famous local herbs. You will then visit the garden where they come from, to discover more than 20 kinds of herbs - most of them with a unique smell and all useful for disease treatment. Take a short rest and enjoy a traditional herbal foot-bath before getting to enjoy a cooking display with some Vietnamese specialities. After the meal, you will hop back on the bikes and cycle along the path of De Vong River to experience the stunning rural scenery en route; along rice fields, water coconuts plantations and lakes that are home to shrimp and fishing villages.

Customer Feedback
Nick actually listened to the type of trip we wanted. He then shared his knowledge and expertise to help with the detail of the countries that we did not have. Refreshingly he did not try and sell something 'off the shelf' or anything that would have been easy for him!
