DAY 1 depart the UK

Depart the UK on an overnight flight to Siem Reap.

day 2 - 4 SIEM REAP

Your guide will meet you at the airport for the transfer to your hotel. There will be plenty of time to explore the breath-taking Temples of Angkor. You'€™ll visit the most famous temple Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom, Bayon and also Ta Prohm. Ta Phrom is overgrown with the roots and limbs of Banyan Trees. You can also explore some of the more remote temples and visit the floating villages on the Tonle Sap. We always tailor the time in Angkor around your personal style and we constantly change routes to try and avoid places where coach tours gather.

Talk to your consultant about arranging a bike tour of Angkor or a sunset quad bike ride through the surrounding paddy fields.

DAY 5 & 6 BATTAMBANG

After lunch, you will be transferred to Cambodia's second city of Battambang. From your hotel, you will be able to take a guided walk into the heart of town to explore the bustling market and colonial architecture while experiencing some of the best street food in Cambodia and a sunset ride on a famous bamboo train into the surrounding paddy fields.

DAYS 7 & 8 PHNOM PENH

Transfer from Battambang to the capital Phnom Penh for two days. Here you can get a sense of the fascinating recent history of Cambodia. During a morning tour of the city, you will visit the Royal Palace and there will be a chance to visit the Killing Fields and Toul Sleng Genocide museum should you wish.  Tuol Sleng is a former school that was converted into the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge. Choeung Ek (better known as the killing fields) was used by the Khmer Rouge as a mass grave and execution site. Today both of these sites are a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Khmer Rouge. The tour is a very moving reminder of the horrors faced by Cambodians between 1975 and 1979. 

DAYs  9 - 11  KEP

Following the tour of Phnom Penh, your driver and guide will transfer you to the sleepy seaside town of Kep, the resort of choice during the French colonial period that is only now beginning to be restored to its former glory. Right up until the mid-1990s the area was caught up in the civil war and it was only re-opened to tourists at the turn of the century. You will stay at the restored villas of Knai Bang Chatt, who have a fascinating history of their own. During a four-night stay, you will be able to eat at the famous crab market, take a boat trip to Rabbit Island, wander amongst deserted villas and walk in the surrounding jungle-clad hills.

days 12-14 Koh Russey

Transfer by road and boat to Koh Russey and check-in at your beach resort for the next 3 nights. Spend the rest of your holiday swimming, relaxing and simply enjoying the beautiful island and resort. 

day 15 Fly home

Today you transfer back to Phnom Penh by road and fly home.
