Au Co Cruises offers sumptuous accommodation from which to explore the UNESCO heritage karsts of Halong Bay. It’s the only Halong cruise experience to take passengers on a three day long continuous trip to more remote quarters whilst other boats pop back to the passenger terminal to drop off and pick up other travellers.
Peaceful, luxurious and insightful, Au Co Cruises have worked carefully to craft an authentic experience on your visit to Halong. As this is a longer cruise, you can reach more remote regions such as Cat Ba Island and explore the local village by bicycle. Kayaks are available for those wanting to discover the cave systems closely and there is a visit to a floating fishing village by rowing boat.
Bedrooms are a blend of old meets new. The furniture is antique in style, but the rooms themselves are fitted with air conditioning, wifi and other modern conveniences. They come with en-suites and there are options to upgrade to a suite with a particularly spectacular view of the surrounding landscapes. The food is delicious and you will experience fantastic cookery demonstrations on the top deck.
All in all, this is a good cruise for anyone wanting a particularly insightful Halong Bay experience. It perhaps does not suit those wanting a smaller intimate boat with a shorter stay in the bay.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
