Vietnam, Hanoi and The North
Info : Halong Jasmine
The Halong Jasmine is the sister vessel of the Halong Ginger. Launched in 2007, the modern boat is built in classic 1930s wooden style with great attention to detail.
The Halong Jasmine has 24 luxurious air-conditioned cabins split into three different categories. The 13 Jasmine Premium Rooms have twin beds and en-suite bathrooms with glass walled showers. The 9 Jasmine Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger and have double beds, a minibar and private outdoor balcony. The 2 Jasmine Junior Suites are located on the upper deck with jacuzzi & floor-to-ceiling glass windows and private balconies.
The boat has an excellent restaurant, a fabulous lounge bar and a great sun-deck. The cruise includes all your on board meals which are generally Vietnamese and cooked to a very high standard.
The Halong Jasmine is the premier boat in Halong bay, with a degree of style and sophistication that leaves the rest of the boats trailing it its wake. It's possible to stay either one or two nights on the boat, or combine a one night cruise with a stop at Cat Ba Island.
Activities whilst on board include kayaking, snorkeling, rowing, caving, trekking and cookery classes - but bear in mind that if you want time to yourselves to enjoy the atmosphere and the activities, you will need to take the 2 night cruise.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
