“Another Vietnam shot and another off the beaten track. My daughter and I both sponsor a child in Luc Nam (about 90km east of Hanoi) and as we were in the area so to speak we went to visit them to deliver their Christmas presents. Where they live is a small community that is not often visited foreigners so when the white man is in town it becomes a bit of an event and the whole town turns out. This included this great-grandmother who brought her great-grandson son to see us. Despite her expression she was more than happy to allow me to take photos and the boy was very please to receive a pocket full of sweets.”
