Bhutan Encompassed
A 3-week once-in-lifetime trip that combines both the "Adventure in Bhutan" and "Bhutan In-Depth" itineraries.
This mountain pass offers spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayas. You will stop off here for a bite to eat or drink to break up your journey, as well as explore the surrounding area. Your guide will show you the botanical garden with its 108 memorial stupas that stand in honour of soldiers slain in the historic war against rebels from India. There is a monastery and a temple here too, both of which are worth a visit. As Dochula is the midpoint on the road journey between Thimphu and Punakha it can be relatively busy by Bhutan standards with other travellers stopping for a break too. However, this totally depends on the time of day and Dochula can be quiet at other times.
You can include this experience as part of an Experience Travel Group holiday designed exclusively for you.
