Koh Dach Full Day Cycle Tour,
Cambodia, Phnom Penh and The South
Info : Koh Dach Full Day Cycle Tour
Koh Dach presents authentic Cambodian life in its simplest and most beautiful forms – the women weaving silk by hand, the Cambodian monks collecting the morning alms in their saffron coloured robes, orchards bursting with fresh fruit, and daily village activities. A short ferry ride across the Mekong River from Phnom Penh, Koh Dach is a wonderful venue for this exploration by bike.
A leisurely 23km ride on the island takes you through fruit orchards, past shophouses and Khmer temples, and along quaint rural roads. Witness the beaches, and enjoy a local lunch shaded by huts along the river, with optional water activities on offer. The tour culminates with a 2 hour boat ride along the Mekong river, docking at the stunning Royal Palace.

Our guide, Mr Rous Ry was so well informed and so passionate about Cambodia that he transformed the holiday. I now can't even imagine trying to understand Angkor Wat without his explanations of the history of Hinduism, Buddhism and the Khmer empire. He also took on board that I am interested in old industrial processes and this helped with visits to an old fish paste factory, a blacksmith, a pottery, a brickworks and various railway sites. This was all done with a charming sense of humour and enthusiasm.
