Just a 10-minute drive to the Tala entry gate of Bandhavgarh National Park, this eco-lodge lies in the heart of wild country, surrounded by forest and local villages. A great location from which to visit the park on safari, the lodge has a wonderful in house team of naturalists. Staff are all locals from the surrounding villages and provide friendly and warm hospitality.
Committed to a ‘farm to table’ approach, meals are deliciously fresh, with much of the produce used being from their organic farm or else sourced nearby. Between safaris, cool off in the pool, head up to the watchtower for some bird watching or relax with an Ayurvedic massage. You can even explore the nearby village or take a cycling or walking tour around the forested area.
With just 10 lovely cottages and 8 stilt cottages, the lodge is quite intimate, though they are spread out around the forest to provide privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. They’re fitted with all the usual comforts such as air-con, ensuite bathrooms and comfortable beds, each with a verandah to sit out on, too.
If you’re wanting to be located in close proximity to the national park, in comfortable accommodation amongst the forest with lovely staff on hand, Kings Lodge is a great fit for you.
Eco/Adventure - This category covers gorgeous lodges in the jungle, comfortable safari camps and dreamy, but simple, beach cabanas. These places defy conventional categorisation: what is communing with nature to one person may be terrifying bugs to another! Many of these places are very comfortable and the service generally of a very high level - but please read the website review carefully and/or talk to us and be sure to have understood what you are letting yourselves in for!
