Family Adventure in Rajasthan
An unforgettable Rajasthan adventure for the whole family. Discover epic ancient palaces, formidable forts and the timeless beauty of rural India.
This beautiful newly built fort is a real treasure in the Thar desert of Rajasthan, offering incredible panoramic views of the dunes for miles on end. Although it’s an entirely contemporary property, it finds a great balance between nature, modern comforts, and a heritage feel. Mihir Garh is just 45 minutes away from Jodhpur, making it an exceptional place to relax and unwind between cities.
Mihir Garh is a beautiful place to bring the family, and the rates include meals, drinks, and a jeep safari. It’s remote and soothing here, and there are plenty of outdoor activities such as bird watching, horse riding, village safaris, and Rajasthani culinary workshops.
The fort was conceptualised by Sidharth and Rashmi Rohet, a husband and wife team that have done an incredible job with both the exterior and interior of the fort. Following an eco-friendly building policy, the pair has designed the nine suites to be spacious, elegant, and classy with soft Indian style furnishings. Each suite has its sitting room, plus a courtyard with a private pool or Jacuzzi.
Come to Mihir Garh for tranquillity and outdoor adventure in the middle of the sweeping Thar desert. Bringing the family is highly recommended. Just be aware that the resort is not open during the Monsoon times.
Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
