Overlooking a lake, set amongst 2.5 acres of greenery, The Ibis (so named after the resident bird species and not to be confused with the large international hotel chain) is a great place to experience the wildlife and serenity of this rural part of Sri Lanka. The park itself is close by, so this a good place to base yourself for a safari with a naturalist guide. Between safaris, you’ll be able to take a cycling tour around the area, relax on your verandah or have a swim in the lake.
