Bangkok Walking Food Tour (Day) ,
Info : Bangkok Walking Food Tour (Day)
The Bangkok Walking Food Tour is a superb meander through old Bang Rak District. This fascinating tour lasts for roughly three hours and takes in a number of excellent little restaurants and cultural sights – the kind you would likely never find without the local knowledge.
Wandering leisurely and stopping in eateries that have been established for many a year, you will sample the delights of a wide range of Thai dishes, influenced by different parts of Thai history and culture.
Beyond sampling some incredible food, the tour takes you to temples, schools, high rise buildings, small lanes and even by boat across the Chao Phraya River. Lead by a friendly and informative guide, you will learn much about Thai food as well as this historic corner of the city, where many restaurants and monuments have been established for over 100 years.
Dishes on the menu include Roasted Duck on Rice, Thai Papaya Salad, Crispy Catfish Salad with Green Mango Sauce, Thai Curry on Egg, Thai Custard Bun, Beef Satay with Peanut Sauce, Traditional Green Curry with Roti and delicious Coconut Ice Cream to finish.
You will also try herbal drinks & teas and pass a vast array of food to give you even more ideas for dinner! The tour is cleverly designed with sensible portion sizes to enable you to try more dishes without immediately filling yourself up.
The tour starts and at 10am and finishes around 1pm. It is advisable to skip breakfast or not over-indulge yourself with the morning hotel spread to make the most of this delicious and enlightening walk.
The tour can be taken on a privately guided basis or as part of a group of eight people with other food enthusiasts. The privately guided tours can be tailored for pure vegetarians. If you eat fish and not meat, the restaurants included in the tour will have alternatives for you.
This is one of our favourite activities in Thailand and really takes you a step closer to finding some of the culinary delights the country has to offer. You will also be able to use this experience to find more interesting food in the rest of Thailand, and to start balancing your flavours like a local!

Every guide, every driver, every tour, every pick-up etc was brilliant... We always felt we were in harmony with local community, not a voyeur looking in... Jake in Chang Mai was amazing. But everyone was first class.
