Gaja Puri, Koh Chang Island

The Gaja Puri is comprised of nineteen timber bungalows set amongst picturesque tropical gardens beneath mango and palm trees on Kai Bae beach in Koh Chang. Fourteen detached bungalows either face the beach or the lush mountains that fringe the resort. There are a further three pool villas each of which has a bungalow with its own very private swimming pool. A larger Pool Suite has two bungalows and a private pool to accommodate families or couples travelling together.

All rooms feature comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs and superb bathrooms with state of the art shower and bath fittings. The resort itself has a spa, a large swimming pool with jacuzzi, a pool bar and an excellent restaurant. The Gaja Puri is one of few resorts on Koh Chang with complimentary wireless internet access and at the time of writing also offered complimentary local beer, soft drinks and snacks to guests between 4 and 7 pm.

The Gaja Puri is one of our favourite resorts on Koh Chang; it's a lovely little property with the rare combination of a very quiet, intimate setting within minutes walking distance of a range of local bars and restaurants.
