In Our Travellers’ Words

Cultural Discovery from Vietnam to Cambodia

We had a fantastic experience from booking the trip to enjoying it when the time came. I was very excited for our children to learn about different cultures, foods and see how people live in different countries. Our trip ticked every box and more and would highly recommend traveling from Vietnam to Cambodia to anyone that loves to explore.

Unforgettable Vietnam Memories

From the moment we landed in Vietnam to the second we left, we made magical family memories. We left some of our hearts in Vietnam. The people, the culture and the experiences ETG pulled together made our whole experience unforgettable. They took care of everything. Listened to what we like in a holiday, encouraged us to think broadly, and surpassed all expectations with their local relationships and ensured we were looked after.

An Epic Adventure Across Southeast Asia

There were moments while I was out and about where I thought that everyone should experience this kind of mindful travel that Experience Travel organises, as it's not backpacking where you tick off the standard party hotspots, and it's not the typical cruise for tourists to visit the standard sightseeing destinations, but an experience where I really felt I got to know the countries, meet great people and do fun stuff that most people miss.

Why Vietnam?

Vietnam is vibrant and varied with ancient cities and storied history, dynamic street life and dramatic coastlines.

  • Captivating Culture: Explore old citadels, lantern-lit towns, and floating markets where daily life still follows traditional rhythms.
  • Breathtaking Backdrops: Hike through the rice-sculpted hills of Mu Cang Chai, boat along the peaceful waterways of Tam Coc, or unwind on Phu Quoc’s laid-back beaches or Phu Yen’s cresecent coastline.
  • Flavours to Remember: Vietnam’s food is legendary for good reason: whether it’s pho from a Hanoi street stall or fresh seafood on the coast, you’re in for a treat.
  • Living History: From the temples of Hue to poignant war-era sites, Vietnam’s layered past adds real depth to your adventure.

“You’ve got to try bánh mì when in Vietnam – they’re so good I pretty much had one every day when I lived in Hanoi! And the bánh xèo in the Mekong Delta? Crispy, delicious, and wrapped in fresh herbs.”

Important FAQs about Vietnam

Vietnam is layered, lively and full of unexpected contrasts – and with ETG, you’ll experience it in a way that feels personal and deeply rewarding. Our guides don’t just lead tours, they open doors: into homes, markets, workshops and places most travellers overlook. Whether you’re navigating Hanoi’s backstreets, drifting through the Mekong Delta, or uncovering Hue’s imperial history, you’ll do it with fresh insight and the support of a team who knows Vietnam inside out.

Vietnam’s weather varies by region, so the best time depends on your route. It’s pretty confusing, so the easiest thing to do is speak to one of our Vietnam specialists who’ve cracked the code.

Generally speaking:

North (Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa): October to April offers clear skies and mild temperatures. Central (Hoi An, Hue, Da Nang): February to August is warm and dry. South (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta): November to April is the dry season, with steady warmth year-round. For a full north-to-south itinerary, March to April or October to November gives you the best all-round conditions.

Every ETG holiday to Vietnam is carefully designed to be seamless, immersive, and stress-free. Your journey typically includes international flights (if requested), guide throughout and accommodation in hand-picked, characterful hotels.

You’ll enjoy incredible, immersive experiences unique to you, all planned by dedicated Vietnam specialists, with the added reassurance of 24/7 in-country support from our local team.
