Medicinal Herb Farm with Cooking Class, Ho Chi Minh City

Today you will discover a beautiful Vietnamese medicine garden famous for its herbs, spices and vegetables. After being collected from [<PreviousAcc>Title], transfer out of the city and into the countryside, where you will be met by a qualified chef who will give you a guided farm tour. You will learn about how the locals undertake a variety of traditional and eco-friendly style animal husbandry and agriculture which encompasses cows, buffalo, fish, prawns, chickens, ducks as well as rice fields, herbs, spices and vegetables. You will also learn about the mushrooms grown here and their special place in Vietnamese medicine. 

 

You will then take part in a unique Vietnamese cooking class with ingredients you have hand-collected from the farm in the morning. Learn to make traditional Vietnamese dishes under the guidance of your chef, using the traditional medicinal herbs as you cook, before sitting down together to enjoy your culinary masterpieces. After lunch you will have the chance to make rice paper, visit a rubber plantation and then visit a dairy farm where, if interested, you can practise traditional milking techniques to prepare milk for your very own Vietnamese coffee. Return to Saigon in the late afternoon.
