Centrally located in the historic town of Mahiyanganaya, Kevan’s Casa provides a modern and comfortable base to explore local highlights.
The town of Mahiyanganaya in Sri Lanka’s tea country is close to the Mahaweli River. The area’s natural topography means picturesque mountains and lush greenery are never far away, and four national parks surround the town. As well as the spectacular nature in the area, Mahiyanganaya is also steeped in history and culture. The Gautama Buddha holds great significance and has a fascinating story.
Kevan’s Casa looks like a city hotel but consists of just four rooms, providing a private and cosy space to relax after a day’s exploring. Although simple, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, with WiFi, aircon, and a small kitchenette area. The hotel’s swimming pool layout is a little odd, but it’s ample for refreshing dips, and the restaurant has a small but excellent menu of local food. Service is a top priority, and the hotel has a reputation for its wonderful staff, who will go the extra mile to provide you with anything you need during your stay.
Overall, we’d say Kevan’s Casa is a safe bet when deciding on a base from which to explore Mahiyanganaya.
Comfort - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin - provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels.
