This luxury boutique hotel sits between a golden stretch of beach and emerald green paddy fields along Sri Lanka’s south coast. It’s a destination in itself, where travellers can unwind and rejuvenate the mind, body and soul with its organic foods, tranquil atmosphere and eco-friendly ethos.

Ravana Garden’s aim is to provide guests with top-notch experiences and luxury while not sacrificing the natural environment. An emphasis is placed on slow food and good health so that you can sit down to delicious, organic dishes with locally sourced ingredients for every meal of the day. Spend your time relaxing with treatments at the bijou Beach Spa, take a dip in the ocean or even join locals for a ‘Madal fishing’ session. The expansive infinity pool overlooking the gardens and ocean is a particular highlight.  Staff are keen to take guests on guided walks, give cooking demonstrations or mix you a drink on the roof terrace.  Day trips to explore the nearby area and take in the cultural highlights are on offer too, so your stay here can be as relaxed or adventurous as you wish.

There is a choice of nine airy suites, each constructed without disturbing the existing trees on-site and designed to work with natural air conditioning. You’ll have either a garden or ocean view so that you will wake up to the beautiful sights and sounds of your natural surroundings. If you’re seeking an extra touch of luxury, we suggest opting for the suites with their private plunge pools!

For anyone who likes their luxury to come with obvious (award-winning) eco-credentials, Ravanna is an excellent option. We particularly recommend it as a place to end your Sri Lanka tour.

Deluxe - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.
