Admire the beauty of nature and feel its force in central Bali, the island’s mountainous core. If you’re a golfer, spend your days at the world-class par-72 course set amongst beautiful mountain scenery. Fill your senses at the colourful Candikuning market, tasting and smelling the neatly displayed tropical fruits and vegetables amongst exotic flowers and aromatic spices directly picked from the surrounding fields. Nearby are Bali’s unique elevated botanical gardens, where you can breath fresh air and discover many kinds of plant species. On the way to Lovina, you’ll find the Munduk village, where a multitude of trekking trails will bring you to discover powerful waterfalls, from the most popular to the lesser known yet equally as beautiful ones.
To the east, Bali’s largest lake, Batur, offers amazing scenery over steamy Gunung Batur and is home to Pura Ulun Danu Batur, a complex of nine temples. Join a trek up to the top of Mount Batur for sunrise, and on your way down, stop in Kintamani village to enjoy the beautiful view on the lake or take a tour to visit a coffee plantation in the highlands. At over 3,000 metres, Agung offers a more challenging hike and unforgettable views.
