Tangkoko Hill offers basic accommodation, ideal for adventurous travellers exploring Tangkoko National Park.
This property has its quirks, and guests must note its simplicity. However, there aren’t many hotels to choose from in this relatively undiscovered part of Indonesia and it’s well located: a stone’s throw from the protected rainforest of Tangkoko Nature Reserve with weird and wonderful wildlife.
Walk among the friendly, critically endangered black crested macaques, spot tarsiers in trees and hear the calls of many birds.
Excellent quality, simple local food is served in the restaurant, where you can chat to other travellers and swap stories in a casual atmopshere.
The Rooms
Rooms are very simple and fairly spacious, with air conditioning and reasonably comfortable beds covered by mosquito nets.
The bathrooms are very basic, and the hot water system can be hit or miss.
