Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort & Spa
Beachfront location,
Dutch fort setting,
Vibrant atmosphere

Solos
This characterful modern-style hotel was constructed on the ramparts of a Dutch fort in lovely Chennai.
The cottage and villa accommodation sits right on the Bay of Bengal, surrounded by 22 acres of manicured grounds and plenty of swaying palm trees.
Fisherman’s Cove is an ideal stop for a few nights either before or after a tour around Southern India. It’s pleasant, but not a great choice if you are seeking a truly intimate retreat. Come here instead to enjoy the friendly vibe, grab a drink at the happening bar, and to experience up-and-coming Chennai before the rest of the world catches on.
Facing the Bay of Bengal, Chennai sits on the Coromandel Coast. A city that used to be largely ignored by tourists, it’s now undergoing a cosmopolitan makeover. Chennai has gorgeous beaches, a thriving arts scene, and a very special Tamil cultural atmosphere.
At the hotel, you can book a spa treatment, enjoy live music at the bar, or dine at one of two restaurants.
The Rooms
There are 88 rooms, decorated with European and Scandinavian style furnishings and colours. The upper category rooms offer much more space and superior views, although many of the rooms in each category face the sea.
