Aava Resort & Spa
Fun for families,
Beautiful beach
Couples,
Families
Set along a 9km sweep of sandy beach and clear, calm waters, this resort sits in one of Thailand’s more untouched coastal locations. Its clean, minimalist design has a subtle Scandinavian feel, balanced by the typical Thai friendliness.
It’s a place that suits a wide range of travellers. Families will find space to unwind and have fun together, while couples can settle into a quieter, more romantic rhythm. Either way, Aava Resort is an easy place to slow down, switch off and relax into the setting.
We’d say that Aava Resort may not appeal to those looking for a completely traditional Thai style of hotel, but it’s a strong choice for travellers seeking a quieter, more away-from-it-all feel than many of Thailand’s better-known islands and resorts.
It also offers very good value, with the added benefit of being well timed for travel during the English summer months of July and August, as well as from February through to April.
During a stay, it’s easy to while away the days simply relaxing, whether that’s in the spa, by the pool or on the beach with a good book. For those who want to explore further, there’s plenty to do, including cave exploration and snorkelling, kayaking and boat trips to discover the surrounding pristine waters. The resort’s calm atmosphere also makes it well suited to yoga, with a range of retreats offered throughout the year. One of the real highlights is its proximity to the waters where rare pink dolphins can be found, with boat trips arranged to spot them in their natural habitat.
Dining is relaxed and unfussy, with an atmospheric restaurant serving Asian European fusion dishes, alongside a pizzeria for more informal meals.
The Rooms
There are 28 villas of 4 different types, all decorated in a fresh and elegant manner, and designed to sit harmoniously within the landscape.
Spacious in layout, all rooms come fully equipped with modern amenities and are European in style, with small Thai touches.
We recommend the Poolside Villa, where you can wake up to views of the pool as well as the beach and ocean beyond.
Aava Resort also offers great family villas with lots of space.
