If you’re a British passport holder, we recommend checking the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) website. We’ve included links below for ease. Do also speak to your consultant for the latest information.
If you hold a different passport, please refer to the appropriate government advice.
Important: Most countries require at least six months’ validity and two blank pages in your passport.

You must apply for a visa in advance of travelling to Sri Lanka: ‘Electronic Travel Authorization’ (ETA) online. We recommend applying 2 weeks before departure.
ETAs will be valid for 30 days. If you are in Sri Lanka longer than 30 days, you can apply for an extension online through Sri Lanka’s official Immigration portal.

You will also need to fill out a Digital Disembarkation (DE) Card within 72 hours before your flight. Online here. You’ll need to have your passport, visa, and flight details to hand to do so.
