Wonderful holiday touring south of Sri Lanka

This was our first time using ETG and it was everything we had hoped for and more. ETG really listened and discovered not just exactly the type of holiday we wanted, but also what our particular interests and preferences were, so the holiday was completely bespoke. Additionally, changing the initial itinerary was no trouble - especially when we were staying in multiple locations. Once in Vietnam, absolutely everything ran so perfectly and completely exceeded our expectations. We combined beautiful hotels with real life Vietnamese experiences. Our brilliant guide took us to meet the real people where we saw and heard first hand how they lived and worked. We cycled around the rice paddies, we practiced Tai Chi during sunrise aboard a traditional Vietnamese junk boat whilst sailing through the amazing limestone mountains of Halong Bay, we visited Vietnamese people in their homes seeing and learning about their cottage businesses and their lives and savoured the best street food in cafes we never would have found ourselves. There are too many high points to mention. To know all tipping was taken care of eased our minds as did the very ethical approach ETG take. We would love to plan another trip soon.

We spent two wonderful weeks exploring areas we have never been before. The trip began in Hanoi where we explored many local & traditional foods while on a Vespa tour, visiting the Temple of Literature at night when the ambiance & experience is very special & beautiful, walked part of the bridge over the river, explored the prison and railway. Next was a trip to the mountain area of Mai Chu to explore rural villages, meet locals, and relax in nature’s beauty. Then on to Hue for a very up close view of temples, tombs, and garden houses. Traveled from there by train along a majestic coastline to Hoi A where the opportunity to have custom clothes and shoes made was fun. Last stop was Siem Reap which was amazing. The workings of the different local villages was fascinating. From sunrise to dark the area’s beauty was remarkable. We wandered those fields, fishing villages, markets, handmade craft school, and several temples in varying sizes with unique histories.

10 day trip to Oman mountains, desert, seaside and city of Muscat.

Great to learn so much more about the history of the region by visiting museums and speaking to local people. Seeing how the landscape is changing as new roads are being built. Meeting locals and eating as locals do, street food, was great.
