Six Senses Krabey Island, Sihanoukville Cambodia, Phnom Penh and The South
An intimate, peaceful and luxury resort blending into the lush 30 acres of rainforest covering Krabey Island. Just a 15-minute boat ride from Cambodia’s mainland near Sihanoukville will transport you to this island paradise.
A large focus is placed on health and wellness, with incredible treatments available at the Six Senses Spa such as facials, massages and wellness activities like yoga, meditation and sleep programs. Other top-notch facilities include several restaurants and bars, an ice-cream parlour, horizon lap pool, boardwalk along the ocean, an open-air cinema, sky observatory and outdoor fitness circuit. Your stay here can be as active or relaxing as you wish, with watersports, cooking classes and visits to the nearby islands also available. For the kids, there is a ‘Nest’ kids club to keep them entertained, too (4-11-year-olds only).
Dine at the Aha or Tree Restaurants for delicious and authentic Khmer and international cuisine, where much of the produce is sourced from the island’s organic garden and nearby provinces. Relax with a drink any time of day or night at the Sunset Bar, but as the name insinuates, it is at its best at sunset! Committed to sustainability and environmental protection, Six Senses has an on-island bottling plant and aims to support the local community by providing education and marine conservation.
The resort comprises 40 private pool villas nestled in the jungle, some sitting in a prime position to enjoy ocean views from your pool and deck. The wooden flooring and furnishings, light fabrics and minimal design blend into the tropical surroundings, providing a calming atmosphere. Bathrooms are spacious, open-plan and have free-standing bathtubs. A real highlight is the private infinity pool, making it hard to want to leave your room! One or two bedroom villas are available, with a Beach Retreat comprising two free-standing villas on its own private beach on the west side of the island, which is ideal for groups or families.
A stay here on Krabey Island is one of the most luxurious island resorts in Cambodia and makes for a wonderful location to end your holiday with a few days of relaxation.
Luxury - Luxury hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A luxury hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
