The retreat faces commanding views of the valley, with its rolling sand dunes and snow-capped peaks.
Designed with a mix of traditional Ladakhi architecture and modern flair, The Kyagar is an unforgettable stay in one of Ladakh’s most unspoiled areas.
Whether you’re swapping stories by the campfire with your favourite tipple in hand or digging into a farm-to-table picnic in a seriously scenic setting, this is the perfect place to connect with both the land and the people.
The Kyagar offers an authentic Ladakhi experience, with local food, cultural activities, and excursions that help you truly immerse yourself in the valley’s unique way of life.
The Rooms
There are 16 spacious rooms spread across eight cottages. Each is generous in size and grounded in place. Designed with traditional Ladakhi elements and locally sourced materials, they showcase intricate craftsmanship without feeling overdone.
Expansive windows welcome in the valley’s shifting light and frame sweeping mountain views. You can also soak up the surroundings from your private deck.
Though the spaces are large, they’re comfortable, and come with spacious en-suite bathrooms and all the modern comforts you’ll want after a day out in the elements.
