Vala House
Boutique feel,
Backwater village setting
Couples,
Solos
Homely and humble, Vala House is one of the loveliest villas in Cherai.
This small Keralan manor house sits in a very scenic spot overlooking the backwaters and feels a whole world away from the city of Cochin close by.
Every one of the 4 guest rooms have uninterrupted views across the lagoon outside.
(If you’re travelling as a group or would like complete privacy, there’s the option to take over the whole villa).
You’ll feel totally immersed in Cherai’s relaxed atmosphere and settle into its laid-back lifestyle.
Watch the villagers gliding down the canals and tending to their Chinese fishing nets by day, and see the sun go down behind the swaying palm trees while dining out on the deck by night.
Don’t miss out on the ‘rural rambles’ and village tours here, or a visit to Cherai beach, which is just a short 5-minute stroll away.
The Rooms
Light and airy, each of the 4 rooms feel restful and unpretentious with lovely, local design touches.
The intimate scale and homestay feel make every stay feel personal and memorable.
