Bandhavgarh National Park boasts the highest density of Royal Bengal Tigers in India, making it one of the country’s premier wildlife destinations.
While tiger tracking is the main draw, the park’s appeal extends beyond its famous felines. Expect to encounter leopards, sambar and barking deer, as well as an abundance of birdlife – from hornbills and kingfishers to striking egrets and eagles. The forested landscape itself is a beauty, offering a rich wildlife experience in central India. Do note, this is a popular park, and while you won’t have it to yourself, the chance to spot a tiger in its natural habitat is worth the company.
