Amanwana
Pristine nature,
Chance to swim with whale sharks
Couples, Nature nuts, Travellers seeking seclusion

When it comes to tropical hideaways, Amanwana might just be as good as it gets — and we don’t say that lightly.
It’s the only resort on Moyo Island, a little-known nature reserve about 15km off the east coast of Bali.
Think part savannah, part tropical jungle, all wrapped in the gin-clear waters and untouched reefs of the Flores Sea.
The camp itself? Proper paradise. Tucked into a quiet cove, you can choose to stay in a luxury tent in the jungle or right on the beach — both equally dreamy, depending on whether you fancy waking to rustle of wildlife or waves lapping right outside.

Amanwana is ideal for couples seeking seclusion – it’s proper honeymoon material – and brilliant for nature lovers.
If you’re a fan of scuba diving or snorkelling, the surrounding marine park will blow your mind. It’s among the finest diving and snorkelling areas in all of Indonesia with pristine reefs and a remarkable variety of marine life – from nemo to whale sharks. For those wanting to explore further, Aman’s private yacht, Amandira, offers extraordinary expeditions to Rinca and Komodo islands, where the famed Komodo dragons roam.
Jungle treks on Moyo Island lead to hidden waterfalls and offer the chance to spot vibrant birdlife. The island also shelters a sanctuary for the native rusa deer.
Combining the barefoot ease of an idyllic beach holiday with the rare thrill of remote wilderness, Amanwana is the kind of place that dreams are made of.

The Rooms
Stay in the finest luxury tents imaginable. To call this camping would be a serious injustice!
Structurally, each of the permanent safari tents has wooden walls and picture windows fixed into a solid foundation; just the ceilings are canvas and even they have a strong waterproof layer. The interiors are decked in hardwoods, Indonesian artwork and sumptuous soft furnishings with a spacious seating area and a large luxury bathroom.
Winding sand paths connect the tents with a breezy, open-air restaurant looking out over the bay. Tucked beneath tamarind trees, the jungle spa is a peaceful little haven, while the Bar – perched on a volcanic ridge above the camp – is the spot for a quiet sundowner while reliving the day’s adventures, perhaps followed by a starlit campfire dinner on the beach.
