Sea Trek Sailing Adventures offers a range of voyages through some of Indonesia’s most beautiful marine regions, from cool Komodo to ravishing Raja Ampat and more.
While both boats are available for private charter, most travellers join one of the scheduled, shared journeys — a relaxed and sociable way to explore.
We always recommend this to adventurous families and couples.
Since Indonesia’s seasons vary across its islands, the boats follow the best weather.
From April to September, they explore the Lesser Sunda Islands and Komodo National Park — home to volcanic landscapes, quiet coves, and Komodo dragons. Highlights include waterfall hikes on Moyo Island, snorkelling over volcanic bubbles at Sangeang, pink-sand beaches on Padar, and paddling the crater lake of Satonda.
From October to February, the boats relocate to Raja Ampat, cruising out of Sorong. These journeys explore Misool, Batanta and Gam Island — expect vibrant reefs, jungle hikes, hidden lakes filled with stingless jellyfish, and the chance to spot the rare Red Bird of Paradise in the wild.
Between seasons, repositioning cruises pass through the Spice Islands and Sulawesi — a chance to see places few others reach.
The Rooms
Out of the two boats, Ombak Putih is slightly larger with space for 24 guests in 12 air-conditioned cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom. They are not exactly spacious but they are perfectly comfortable.
The Katharina, a slightly smaller boat, offers a similar experience for up to 12 guests in 6 cosy cabins, all with air conditioning and private facilities.
Both ships have ample deck space, making them ideal for leisurely days sunbathing, soaking in the scenery, and stargazing in the evenings.
