Sriwilai Sukhothai
Stone’s throw from Sukhothai’s UNESCO sites
Couples,
Families
Just minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sukhothai Historical Park, the Sriwilai offers a charming and serene base for exploring with a touch of luxury and a sense of place.
With sprawling rice fields to one side and the ruins of the Lanna-era Wat Chedi Sung temple on the other, the Sriwilai’s location alone captures the essence of Sukhothai.
The Sriwilai is a great choice for anyone visiting Sukhothai due to its serene and convenient location (it’s just 1.8km from the Historical Park), high-quality rooms and service, and excellent facilities. We’d recommend staying at least a couple of nights. While the Historical Park is undeniably Sukhothai’s main draw, unwinding by the pool in the tranquil surroundings feels just as much of a treat.
The hotel provides free bicycles, or tuk-tuks can be summoned by reception in minutes, making getting to and from the park a breeze. The road leading to the park is lined with local and international restaurants and coffee shops, as well as the lively night market, giving plenty of dining options after a day of exploring the ancient ruins and temples.
The Rooms
Suites and rooms are all on the ground floor, with buildings separated by leafy paths, ponds, and gardens, giving the hotel the feel of a small village.
Rooms are spacious and simple with small touches of Lanna-inspired design and locally sourced textiles and decorations.
We’d particularly recommend the Deluxe rooms, as they feature balconies overlooking the lush rice fields to the South.
