Sunset Kayak & Street Food
Paddle along the Perfume River and explore Hue’s islands and backstreets, tasting authentic local dishes along the way.
Beginning on the banks of the Perfume River, you’ll paddle down stream towards Hen Island. This is the place to come for wonderful mussels, and is well known for its speciality dish, delicious freshly cooked mussel rice. There’s plenty of time for island exploration before the kayaks take off again for the Dong Ba market place. This large and bustling commercial hub in Old Hue is colourful and fascinating.
From here, be led by cyclo through the tiny alleyways and vibrant back streets of Old Hue, and save some room for Banh uot thit nuong (grilled pork and spring rolls), Bun Bo Hue (beef noodles) and Khoai Cake (Vietnamese Pancakes done Hue-style). Dessert is an unexpectedly delicious Che Hue (sweet soup) before returning by cyclo to your hotel.
