Komodo Exploration, Komodo Island
Indonesia, Komodo

Info : Komodo Exploration

Today you will visit the famous Komodo National Park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. The park is in fact an archipelago of about eighty islands in between Flores and Sumbawa. Aside from the famous Komodo dragons, the fauna includes deer, buffaloes, boars, monkeys, wild horses, sea eagles, sulfur crested cockatoos and flying foxes.

Board a fast speedboat for the 45 minute ride to the small cove of Loh Buaya and take two hour trek looking out for wildlife along the way. On a separate island, look out for the dens and nests of the dragons and learn a lot more about this mysterious creature. You will also visit the famous Pink Beach, which is one of the very best spots for snorkelling in all of Indonesia. Here you will have a picnic lunch and during the afternoon there is plenty of time to admire the splendid underwater world of these waters. Snorkels and fins will be provided.

Customer Feedback
The stand out experiences all involved some locals: the walk in the Bali rice fields with a guide, the trip to the Borobudur eco-village and ride in a horse cart which also charmingly had us playing the Gamelan with local kids.
