Wake up to wild beauty on a private island in the secluded paradise of Raja Ampat.
Misool Eco Resort is surrounded by some of the richest marine biodiversity on Earth, with hundreds of coral and fish species thriving beneath its turquoise waters.
As the name suggests (and the pristine setting demands), the resort is genuinely eco-conscious: set within a patrolled no-take zone, serving organic, locally sourced produce, and built from reclaimed tropical hardwood.
Every stay directly contributes to the protection of a 1,200 sq km marine reserve.

A real highlight of the resort is the epic snorekelling, diving, and other adventures on your doorstep.
Dedicated staff, expert divers and resident marine biologists are on hand to share their knowledge and deepen your experience. Daily dive trips let you explore this epicentre of marine biodiversity, while other activities (from snorkelling and kayaking to mangrove tours and beach picnics), reveal the beauty above the waterline, too.
The lagoon-side restaurant serves freshly prepared local dishes alongside a mix of Asian and Western favourites.
This remote retreat is reached via a flight to Sorong Airport, followed by a four-hour boat transfer. There’s a minimum stay of seven nights, which is well worth it — this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a truly extraordinary part of the world.

The Rooms
You’ll stay either in a stilted villa over the lagoon or in a beachside cottage, each with a rustic style that feels luxurious without being flashy (helped, of course, by the extraordinary setting).
Local artisans have crafted the furnishings from recycled materials, in keeping with the resort’s eco ethos.
Every villa includes a verandah for taking in the surroundings, and some feature built-in hammocks suspended over the water.
Certain villas are large enough for families and groups of friends, just ask us.
