Plataran Komodo Resort & Spa is a perfect base from which to discover Komodo National Park. Villas are dotted around the grounds with some opening directly onto the beach and others offering private pools. Interiors feature a mix of traditional Javanese and boutique style with an abundance of space and are perfect for couples and families alike.
From the resort, you can enjoy boat trips to Rinca or Komodo to witness the fascinating and seemingly prehistoric Komodo dragons up close. You can also take snorkelling or diving trips to explore the exceptional marine park or make use of the complimentary canoes to discover the surrounding crystal clear waters teeming with beautiful marine life such as dolphins and turtles.
The hotel offers a range of dining options, but highlights of your stay could include a hike up Plataran Hill for a sunrise picnic with panoramic views or one of the resort's barbecues under the stars.
This is a great choice when visiting this incredible part of the world. All the rooms are lovely, but we suggest that families with young children discuss room types with us and avoid the villas with outside staircases.
